Gavin Duley, scientific editor

Gavin DULEY

I am a scientific copy editor and writer. I am a member of the European Association of Science Editors (EASE) and an entry-level member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. I’m also a keen photographer.

I have been working as a scientific copy editor since 2017. My work as a English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher has given me experience of working with authors and students whose first language is not English. My research background has given me experience of academic writing in the sciences.

I hold a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Systematic Botany from the University of New England Australia, and a Graduate Diploma in Wine Science from the University of Adelaide. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Griffith University, and I have worked as an online oral (spoken) English teacher at a University in Fuzhou Province, China.

I have recently (31st July 2020) completed a Masters of Philosophy in Wine Science at the University of Adelaide. My project involved examining the link between vineyard climate and colour in Pinot Noir grapes and wines. It also involved working with colleagues in Australia, France, and Germany.

I provide the highest quality editing and writing services at economical rates. Please see my ‘Services & rates‘ to see how I can assist you, or contact me for further information!
